Ad for a tinnitus remedy, which illustrates its point by playing a loud, high-pitched mechanical squeal.
Even if I didn't suffer from tinnitus myself -- even if the "remedy" weren't certainly quackery -- I would be moved to murderous rage.

Date: 2009-08-04 02:27 pm (UTC)Amusingly (or not) years ago, I mixed up the name of the squealing disease with a venereal one, and thought it was amusing that 'ringing in the ears' sounded like, "tin ear"!
Do you ever try to figure out what pitch it is? I do, but I lose track of how many octaves up it is....
