Busy, busy me, too busy to post on lj for two weeks, too busy to post the limericks I've written (and I have written them), too busy to post about the play I'm appearing in.

But not too busy to post a picture from the photo session for said play. The photo session that denuded me of any pretense that I am in any way the star of this show.

I'm thinking, I arrived hours early and get three whole pictures of me in the publicity shoot? They don't shoot the bread pudding scene? They don't shoot the scene where I'm confronting Boris? And I get a sum total of one shot of me as Poppa, from the back?

Turns out I'm vain, after all!

Is it a non-speaking role?

I love your new user pic!

Yes, it's a speaking role, they BOTH are in fact -- I'm an Irish Catholic chicken farmer in Act II but the heroine's father in Minsk in Act I.

And it's NOT a new user pic, I've been using it for several years. I guess being in New York City dulls your senses! Nyeah!

Oh, how I envy you. [gnashes teeth]

Well, that's almost 20 minutes more than I got!

I was in the movie, Witness.

I was sitting down on the bench, next to Kelly McGillis, only I didn't know it was her. I just thought she was just some nice Amish woman.

I spoke with her briefly. It was the scene filmed at 30 th street station, here in Philadelphia. It was about March of 1984. I was 26, soon to be 27.

The kid was playing at the water fountain. I commented that the kid acted like he's never seen a water fountain. A minute or two later, I saw the movie camera with a man on it.. but, it was all the way across the station.

I asked if they were making a documentary about Amish people, and said that I hoped I didn't mess it up.

" No, " she reassured me, " It's alright."

The next summer, the movie came out. I saw it at the theater and.. there I was!

I'm the guy with glasses, and dark brown hair styled in a mid 1960's Beatle haircut, with a dark brown beard, and I have a coat on my lap.

All the talking I'd done had been cut out.

Total time that I appeared in the movie: About 8 seconds.

But there I was...heh.

That baby's going on my Netflix queue!

And, also, I understand that Kelly McGillis is a L_____.

Yeah, she's a l------.

She was very nice.

Too bad Harrison Ford was not there. Have always wanted to thank him for doing such a wonderful job playing Han Solo, and Indiana Jones.

Be careful NOT to blink, or you'll miss my "big" scene, LoL!
