Who better to tell us how the world has gone to hell?

I don't watch the new Battlestar Galactica, though I've been told by many of my friends that it's really good. A lot of the problem I have is the name -- the original series was such dreck, how could a "remake" be any good? Apparently it is, because the creators just bought the names and more or less the idea, and scrapped the idiocy and cheesiness that made us refer to the original as "Rattletrap Galactica."

And less family-friendly nicknames.

there is not so much of the old in the new one, but it stand's well enough on it's own. The point being: for TV, it's really good storytelling. But it reflects much fo the way the world is seen now, so no, it's not going to be to everyone's taste, either
