albadgerI dreamed that the Principality of Monaco had an island possession in the Caribbean, and the island was manufacturing a tiny but street-legal car, as well as a line of bathroom equipment. I went to a show at the convention center to see the car, but they didn't have any models there, just pamphlets. The car looked a lot like the AMC Pacer, except it was glass all the way down, and you could see the engine. I wanted one. Bad.
They did have the bathroom equipment set up in a showroom, and a pamphlet for that too. The pamphlet photos had a number of nude models standing behind the various sinks and toilets, discreetly positioned but looking rather pox-ridden and tubercular. The showroom was set up like a luxury bathroom, complete with cats. Interesting asymmetrical design for the toilet bowl. The shower stall door rose up automatically from a slot in the floor. Somebody had peed in the sink.
Then I woke up to discover that I had slept 33 hours and missed an entire day of work. Aching and sore, I went in, turned on my work computer, and typed up an email to apologize to my managers, but I couldn't remember their names.
Then I really woke up. I hate waking up from a dream in the dream. It violates my sense of order. I wouldn't mind so much if I remembered falling asleep in the dream. Then the pushes and pops would balance out.
