Yeah, I dunno. I used to blog here all the time. Then I started getting depressed and not posting as often, and then both my laptop PC and my desktop PC died horrible deaths, and I stopped posting altogether. The Mac? not my friend. Posting from the iPhone? tiring. The netbook I bought from Woot? Sweet, but touch-typing on that tiny keyboard is not for my arthritic fingers. But now I have a new laptop PC with a real keyboard, so I'm down to one excuse (no social networking at work!). But I can post evenings and weekends. So.
Beginning of the New Year? Inauspicious. I joined [livejournal.com profile] urso and [livejournal.com profile] tmaher going to a party at John & Greg's, which would be an auspicious start for a year, if one's left eyelid didn't start swelling up and one didn't start slurring one's speech and finding the speech of others incomprehensible. This seemed to be a temporary condition (food allergy?). After such an incident, one is likely to find oneself weakened and vulnerable to a throat infection and a stuffed up nose.

One is likely to find the stuffed-up nose more a blessing than a problem when one comes home to find that one's cat smells like it spent the day rolling in a pile of zombies.
This third-person hypothecial past passive tense is tiring, and I will abandon it.
So I haven't started well. The good news is that, after 2 weeks of unregulated eating and no exercise at all, I have gained no weight to speak of. I do have hopes for the year, and will be doing at least some acting, starting with more of the Shakespeare reading series. What other exciting adventures will come my way? I hope to share them with you here.

And not just on Facebook, which I've decided isn't evil, really. FarmVille... now that's evil. Speaking of which, I have to check on my grapes and pattypan squash. Ta!
